Surgeries should offer a minimum of 10 minute appointments.
Emergency extras at the end of surgery are not normally seen.
Where home visits are provided only a maximum of two home visits will be done. Home visits are only done on morning surgeries and not on afternoon surgeries.
In exceptional circumstances where the locum is required to see emergency extras or do more than two home visits an additional charge based on an hourly rate of £65/hour will be made. This must be agreed to in advance.
On-call and out of hour services are not provided.
Repeat prescribing and paperwork are only carried out for patients seen.
Payment is due at the end of the month. There is a 10% surcharge for invoices that are unpaid 14 days after the end of the month.
Confirmed locum bookings are subject to a 100% cancellation fee if cancelled by the trust/GP practice less than 1 month from the start date of cover.
Every effort will be made to provide the cover specified, or alternative cover. However I reserve the right to terminate locum cover in exceptional circumstances, or if the above terms and conditions are breached.
Locum packs (as available from the National Association of Non-Principals) are a useful tool and help locums to maximize their efficency, keeping your costs down.
